I'm Donna Wescott, the creative force behind Wonder and Whimsy Photography. My journey into photography began as a child, fueled by a profound absence - the lack of photographs with my father after he passed away. This experience left a void that I've spent my life trying to fill, not just for myself but for others, by capturing moments that might otherwise be lost to time.

From a very young age, I felt different, a bit of an outsider in the conventional world, but I embraced that uniqueness. My creativity has always been my refuge and my strength, pushing me to explore and express through my lens. Photography became my medium to not only document life but to see it through a different, more magical lens.

I've always been a horse girl at heart, finding peace and connection in the bond between human and animal. My love extends to all creatures; I'm an avid animal lover, which you can see reflected in much of my work. My photography often captures the essence of these relationships, the silent conversations between species.

My spirit is inherently outdoorsy; I thrive in the embrace of nature, which has led me to travel extensively. Each journey is not just about the destination but the stories I can tell through my camera - the landscapes, the cultures, the fleeting moments of beauty in the wild.

I am an artist in every sense, always seeking to push boundaries and explore new perspectives. Reading has been another passion of mine; I'm a self-confessed book nerd. The narratives I find within the pages of books inspire my visual storytelling, merging the magic of literature with the visual arts.

At Wonder and Whimsy, my goal is to find and share the magic in everyday life. Whether it's the soft light at dawn, the joy in a child's laughter, or the silent dignity of an old tree, I aim to capture these moments in a way that makes people pause and see the wonder around them. Each photograph is a story, an emotion, a piece of life that I've been privileged to witness and preserve.

Through my lens, I've created not just a collection of images but a tapestry of life's moments, each one a testament to my journey of healing, discovery, and celebration of the beauty that surrounds us.
